Program Continuation Requirements
All professional component specific courses must be passed with
a minimum of 75%, and must be passed consecutively before
continuing on to the next courses.
Program Costs
In addition to the registration fees, a Surgical Technology student
can expect to spend approximately $2,000 on books, supplies,
testing, and miscellaneous costs while completing the Surgical
Technology Program Associate of Applied Science Degree.
Graduates are required to sit for proficiency exams at the
conclusion of their program. Information regarding costs and
dates for the exams will be posted in the online catalog
and available from the program instructor(s).
Student Work Policy
All student activities associated with the curriculum, especially
while students are completing clinical rotations, will be
educational in nature. Students will not receive any monetary
remuneration during this educational experience, nor will the
student be substituted for hired staff personnel within the clinical
institution, in the capacity of a surgical technologist.
