Why CEI Nursing?
Our proven student success data and low cost compare favorably with any nursing school in the state. Our students graduate from a cost-effective program, have a high pass rate on their NCLEX, and get jobs as nurses upon graduation.
Successful completion of the program requirements earns an Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing and makes the student eligible to sit for the national licensure examination (NCLEX-RN) to be a licensed registered nurse
Program Options to Fit Your Lifestyle
CEI offers three program options to help the students achieve their goal of becoming an RN: Full-time, Part-time, and LPN to RN Bridge. After completing pre-requisites, the student may apply to enter whichever program works best for them. See the links below for program option details.
State-of-the-Art Equipment
Our program values nursing knowledge and the skills required to be an expert nurse. To support this, we have facilities that include a skills lab where students learn and practice various essential nursing skills. They can then put the knowledge, judgment, and skills they have learned in the program into hands-on, interactive practice in their high-fidelity simulation lab with state-of-the-art manikins. This lets students practice critical real-life skills in an environment where they can learn from their mistakes without real-life consequences.
Graduates that are Prepared to Hit the Ground Running
CEI’s nursing program is the only RN program in the area with an intensive final semester which includes 450 hours of clinical experience in working 1:1 with an experienced nurse in various clinical settings. During this time, students get true nursing experience and, at graduation, can hit the ground running. This is one of the reasons why many of our students have job offers even before graduation.

- Enrollment in the Associate Degree Nursing Program (ADN) for any option is competitive.
- Because of the number of applicants, completing all admission requirements does not ensure acceptance into the program.
- In-progress pre-requisite courses from outside institutions will no longer be accepted. You must be enrolled in a CEI course to apply with in-progress pre-requisite courses.

Application Requirements
For specific program entrance requirements, see the individual program option application checklists linked below. These checklists are intended to assist you in completing the online nursing application. If there are any requirements listed in the online application that are not on the checklists, all online requirements must be completed.
After You Are Accepted into the Program
Acceptance is given on a “conditional” basis. If the student does not complete any prerequisites being taken during the admission process with at least a C+, the conditional acceptance will be rescinded. Additionally, after acceptance, the student will be given a list of tasks to complete prior to full acceptance. These tasks will be detailed in a “next steps” letter and will include instructions on completing drug screening, attending a mandatory program orientation, how to enter information into the clinical site compliance tool, and more. If any of these steps are not completed, the conditional acceptance will be rescinded. Please pay close attention to the “next steps” letter, which will be sent to your CEI email.

**This number only includes students who graduate from the program in the intended timeframe of the program option. This means 4 semesters for full-time students, 6 semesters for part-time students, and 3 semesters for Bridge students. Sometimes students complete the program, but take longer than the intended timeframe of the program option. Reasons for this include failure of one course (needing to retake it) or being given permission to temporarily withdraw from a program and re-enter it later for medical, family, or other reasons. As such, the actual completion rate is often higher. Job Placement Rate
