Evaluation is an integral part of the continuous improvement process. It is the methodology of the college to use multiple modalities in assessing the success of a faculty member. Evaluations occur during the spring semester and are performed by the appropriate instructional dean. These evaluations are linked closely to CEI's mission and core themes. Deans will utilize the following criteria in their considerations:

  • General observations from department chair/division manager and the dean
  • Student classroom evaluation
  • Classroom observation
  • Goal assessment
  • Review of service to the college
  • Peer observation
    • Peer observation is required annually, but is not submitted to the dean for review and will not be used in the overall evaluation of a faculty member.
