CEI Foundation Scholarship Agreement 2026–2027
Congratulations on receiving a CEI Foundation scholarship! To use your financial award, you must complete and follow this agreement. Failure to do so may result in the loss of your scholarship.
I understand that:
- This scholarship is a gift and does not need to be repaid.
- This scholarship is not a cash award.
- Funds can only be used for approved educational expenses.
- Unused funds will not be refunded.
I understand that I must:
- Be enrolled at CEI in at least 1 credit per semester.
- Use all scholarship funds during the 2026-2027 Academic Year; funds will not be carried over to the next year.
I understand that:
- My scholarship may be applied to the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, or Summer 2027 semesters.
- Funds are usually split between fall and spring.
- I may request changes to this (if allowed) before the balance due deadline.
- I must notify the scholarship office if I am not attending the Fall semester at scholarships@cei.edu
I understand that:
- Scholarship funds are applied to tuition first, then other charges approved by the Foundation.
- Federal financial aid is applied after.
- I am responsible for any remaining balance.
- Misuse of funds may result in the loss of my scholarship.
I understand that I must:
- Maintain at least a 2.0 GPA, or a higher GPA if required by my specific scholarship.
- It is my responsibility as a scholarship recipient to verify any specific GPA requirements of my individual scholarship.

- Falling below this may result in probation or loss of my scholarship.
I understand that I must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements; similar to federal financial aid rules, to remain eligible.
I understand that if I lose my scholarship, I may submit an appeal using the Scholarship Revocation Appeal Form, which will be reviewed by a committee.
I understand that I am responsible for keeping my own receipts for educational expenses, as they may not be provided later.
I understand that I must:
- Complete at least 10 hours of community service.
- Use an approved organization. Suggestions can be found on the Scholarship Volunteers Opportunities web page.
- Submit my hours online on the Community Service Hours Form by March 1.
Failure to complete this may affect future scholarship opportunities.
I understand that I must:
- Write a thank-you letter to my scholarship donor.
- Explain the positive impact that the scholarship will have on my education (and optionally a photo).
- Submit it by September 1 by:
- Email to scholarships@cei.edu,
- Or bring in person to Building 3 Room 311,
- Or mail them to: CEI Foundation 1600 S. 25th E. Idaho Falls, ID 83404.
Failure to complete this may affect future scholarship opportunities.
I understand that:
- Participation in CEI publications or events is optional.
- I may also be asked to participate in campus activities that support student scholarships (i.e. Scholarship Celebration or the Great Race for Education) but am not required to do so to receive my scholarship.
- Photos taken at events may be used in CEI Foundation publications unless I request otherwise.
- The CEI Foundation may share my academic progress and person information (provided on scholarship) with my scholarship donor if requested.
If I do NOT wish for my photos to be used for any reason, I must contact the CEI Foundation office. foundation@cei.edu
I understand that I must:
- Keep my contact information updated.
- Regularly check my CEI email. (created when you are admitted to CEI)
Failure to do so may result in missed communication and possible loss of my scholarship.
I understand that policies and processes may change, and updates will be sent to my CEI email. It is my responsibility to stay informed.
By signing electronically, I accept my scholarship and agree to all terms. I understand that not agreeing with the terms will result in the loss of my scholarship.
