Meet Frankie the Falcon: Our Proud School Mascot

Frankie the Falcon, our beloved school mascot, has a rich history rooted in school spirit and student involvement. Originally introduced in 2007 as Pedro the Falcon, his name was likely inspired by the popular classic Napoleon Dynamite, which was a cultural hit at the time. Pedro quickly became a recognizable figure around campus, even starring in events like Pedro’s Pasta Push — spirited food drive that brought the community together. That tradition lives on today as Frankie’s Food Pantry, continuing the mission of supporting students in need.

In 2015, the mascot underwent a major transformation. After a school-wide vote led by Student Services, Pedro was officially renamed Frankie the Falcon. The rebranding reflected a more modern and inclusive image, chosen entirely by the student body. Around this time, Student Senate debuted its first CET logo featuring Frankie, cementing his place not only in the hearts of students but also in the visual identity of the college.

Frankie’s presence has extended beyond just costumes and posters—in July 2020, there was even a live falcon representing the school for a period, adding a real-life connection to our feathered symbol of pride and perseverance.

From food drives to community events, Frankie the Falcon continues to soar as a symbol of unity, resilience, and school pride.
