Course Overview
This online course provides students with an introduction to the fundamental techniques of professional writing. Students will learn effective strategies for crafting clear, concise, and compelling written communication, including emails, reports, proposals, and digital content. Through a combination of practical guidance and the introduction of modern tools, such as AI, students will gain an understanding of how to effectively craft sentences, organize and present information, and compose cohesive messages for intended audiences. Students will leave class prepared to confidently draft professional documents and correspondences in business settings.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THIS COURSE?
This course is composed of approximately 24 course hours. The time it takes to complete the course will vary by student and selected course option:
Instructor-Moderated: Once a course session starts, two lessons will be released each week for the 6-week duration of your course. You will have access to all previously released lessons until the course ends. You will interact with the instructor through the online discussion area. There are no live sessions or online meetings with the instructor.
Self-Guided: You have 3 months of access to the course. After enrolling, you can learn and complete the course at your own pace, within the allotted access period. You will have the opportunity to interact with other students in the online discussion area.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
No. Payment is due in full at the time of registration for all WTCE classes. However, students may be able to arrange a payment plan with Ed2Go.
