Welding
PRACTICAL WELDING
This practical course provides essential welding skills for repairs, home projects, and hobbyist tasks, with a focus on applications relevant to farmers and ranchers. Students will have the opportunity to learn basic welding techniques and safety practices tailored to common repair and fabrication needs. This class will also serve as an open lab setting to learn skills students may wish to improve upon.
ESSENTIALS OF WELDING 1 – BEGINNERS
Part 1: Basic skills. This foundational course introduces essential welding techniques and theories, covering cutting methods, SMAW, and GMAW. Participants will learn basic welding principles and gain practical experience with these core processes.
ESSENTIALS OF WELDING 2 – INTERMEDIATE
Part 2: Intermediate Skills. Building on the basics, this intermediate course focuses on advanced welding techniques, including GMAW, FCAW, and an introduction to GTAW. Participants will develop skills in these advanced processes and learn to apply them to more complex welding tasks. Students likely will take this class twice to advance to the next level.
ESSENTIALS OF WELDING 3 – ADVANCED
Part 3: This advanced course provides more in-depth training in GTAW and GMAW. Participants will focus on developing proficiency in advanced welding techniques and positions, while also exploring theoretical aspects of welding, including basic testing methods and codes. The course is designed to enhance practical skills and understanding, preparing participants for more complex welding applications.
