Health Physics Technician

Overview

Health Physics Technician (HPT) Program

This program prepares students for entry‑level employment as junior health physics/ radiological control technicians in environments such as national laboratories, nuclear facilities, accelerators, dosimetry labs, and university research settings.

The program provides intensive, competency‑based training in radiological safety theory and practical skills over one 16‑week semester. Due to the demanding nature of this field, applicants should carefully consider the academic, physical, and mental requirements necessary for success.
