Industrial Safety & Hazard Control

The College of Eastern Idaho offers the Industrial Safety & Hazard Control Certificate, a comprehensive program that prepares participants for work in highly regulated technical environments through industry-standard safety and hazard control training. This program emphasizes hazard awareness, procedural compliance, and a strong safety mindset—foundational skills for work in complex industrial settings where precision, accountability, and risk mitigation are critical. 

A certificate of completion will be awarded to those who successfully complete all credentials. Depending on the course, participants may earn a nationally recognized certification.

Industrial Safety & Hazard Control courses are required for the Nuclear-Informed Industrial Readiness Certificate.  

Required courses include:

  • Lockout/Tagout
  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Spaces
  • OSHA 
  • HAZWOPER 
  • Human Performance & Safety Culture Basics
