Student Showcase
CEI’s Student Showcase is a campus-wide celebration at the end of each fall and spring semester that highlights student achievement across all programs. Students work with faculty mentors to present their work through posters, demonstrations, readings, and more, giving visitors a chance to experience the skills and knowledge gained throughout the semester.
Hosted in the new Future Tech Building, the event features both open-house style spaces for interactive presentations and smaller, more intimate spaces for artistic displays, formal readings, and scheduled activities. Organized by the Office of Academic Affairs, the Student Showcase aims to provide students with real-world experience, connect them with employers, and celebrate their accomplishments.
Past attendees include faculty, staff, families, employers, and community members, who have praised the event as “exceptional” and “inspiring,” noting its importance for highlighting the depth of student learning that occurs at College of Eastern Idaho.
Fall 2026 Student Showcase
This semester’s theme, Pursuit of Happiness, was chosen in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Although the true meaning of this clause has long been debated, one resounding interpretation centers around the inalienable right to a life well lived – a life of cultivating knowledge, virtue, and self-fulfillment. In that spirit, we invite our students to take pride in the work they do here at CEI, and look forward to showcasing projects from the arts & humanities, social & health sciences, industry & trades, STEM, and beyond.
