CEI Hosts Kids Cooking Academy

In the past, the College of Eastern Idaho has done cooking courses for adults. Then the question came up: why not do a summer camp for kids? "It's funny what they already come knowing, and the passion that they already have," said Blake Avery, the instructor for the course and sous chef for Catered Your Way.

Salmon resident Jackie Brownlee, a 30-year-old mother of two, is taking college nursing classes in hopes of improving her career opportunities.

She says there is no future for those Salmon residents and children who lack some form of

CEI opens new Armed Forces Center

Thursday, the College of Eastern Idaho cut a ribbon of new opportunity for those who have served with its new armed forces center. The project was made possible through a donation from the Maeck Foundation, and will be used as a tool to attract and serve more eastern Idaho veterans.

Students Build Skills and Serve Veterans in Construction Combine

Idaho Falls — Students showed off their skills to potential employers and performed service for local veterans at the first-ever Idaho Falls Construction Combine on Wednesday at The Home Depot.

“This actually started last year in Pocatello with Idaho State University and sort of migrated across the state,” College of Eastern Idaho’s Workforce Training Programs Director Debbie Borek says.

Lewiston, Idaho – Officials from Lewis-Clark State College and the College of Eastern Idaho in Idaho Falls will sign an articulation agreement to facilitate the transfer of CEI graduates with either an Associate of Arts/Science degree or an Associate of Applied Science degree into baccalaureate degree programs at LCSC.

Idaho Falls — Idaho’s newest community college has announced five new articulation agreements with Idaho State University.

The “2+2” agreements are designed to facilitate the transition of students from the College of Eastern Idaho to ISU: two years of associate’s degree coursework at the community college followed by two years of bachelor’s degree coursework at the university.
